- Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties;
again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away
sins.
- But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he
sat down at the right hand of God

- No one who lives in him keeps
on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known
him.
|

- No one who is born of God will
continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on
sinning, because he has been born of God.

- If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge
of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful
expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies
of God.

- I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For
I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
- For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want
to do--this I keep on doing.

- Peter said,
- “No. you shall never wash my feet.“
- Jesus answered, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.“

- Jesus replied, "You do not
realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand."

- Then Peter came to Jesus and asked,
- "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins
against me? Up to seven times?"

- Jesus answered,
- "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
|

- Mat 6:14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your
heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Mat 6:15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father
will not forgive your sins.

- Luke 6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not
condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be
forgiven.
- Luke 17:3 So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins,
rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.
