- Where will you be during the Millennium?
|
|
2
|
- Because it is in the Bible
- Because it puts things in perspective
- Because it gives us hope in the end times
- Because it helps us understand God’s will and His eternal purpose
|
|

|
- Does Christ return at the end of the Great Tribulation?
- When will the saints be raptured?
- Who is with Christ when he comes to Judge the nations?
- When does the Millennium start?
- Who is on Earth during the Millennium?
- What is the function of the Millennium?
- What happens during the Millennium?
- What happens after it is over?
|
|
4
|
- The Millennium refers to a 1000 year period during which Christ Reigns
with the Believers in Heaven over the purified nations on the Earth.

- 1Cor 15:51-52 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but
we will all be changed-- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the
last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised
imperishable, and we will be changed.

- Rev 11:15-18 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were
loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has
become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for
ever and ever.“ And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their
thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: "We
give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.
The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for
judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your
saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great-- and for
destroying those who destroy the earth."

- Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to
him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by
some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying
that the day of the Lord has already come. 2Thes 2:1-2
- Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come
until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the
man doomed to destruction. 2Thes 2:3
- And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will
overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of
his coming. 2Thes 2:8

|
- 1Thes 4:15-18 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who
are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will
certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord
himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice
of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in
Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are
left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord
in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

- He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep
him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were
ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. Rev 20:3
- When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison
and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth Rev 20:7
- To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority
over the nations-- Rev 2:26

- And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their
testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not
worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their
foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a
thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life
until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.

- I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud
was one "like a son of man" with a crown of gold on his head
and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the
temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take
your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest
of the earth is ripe." So he who was seated on the cloud
swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

- “When the Son of Man comes in
his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in
heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will
separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep
from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his
left. "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who
are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared
for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you
gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to
drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes
and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison
and you came to visit me.' "Then the righteous will answer
him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give
you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite
you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you
sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply,
'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these
brothers of mine, you did for me.' "Then he will say to those
on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire
prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you
gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to
drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed
clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did
not look after me.' "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did
we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or
in prison, and did not help you?' "He will reply, 'I tell you
the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you
did not do for me.' "Then they will go away to eternal
punishment but the righteous to
eternal life."

- I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose
rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and
makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are
many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he
himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is
the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding
on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of
his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations.
"He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the
winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.

|
19
|
- Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The
second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and
of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

|
20
|
- Those who are alive are Judged by Christ when he comes (The Sheep and
the Goats). The Goats go to Hell
and the Sheep will receive the inheritance that was prepared since
creation. They are most likely
the Nations during the Millennium
- Those who are already dead at this time are Judged at the Great White
Thrown at the end of the Thousand years
- Those who are not sent to Hell at the Great White Throne will become the
Nations in the New Heaven and Earth and will be healed with the leaves
that come from the Tree of Live

- Rev 20:5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the
thousand years were ended.)
- Daniel 12:2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake:
some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

- Revelation 20:7 When the thousand years are over, ….
- Revelation 20:11-15 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was
seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no
place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing
before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which
is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had
done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were
in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each
person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and
Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second
death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of
life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

- "The first one came and said, 'Sir, your mina has earned ten
more.' "'Well done, my good servant!' his master replied.
'Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge
of ten cities.' "The second came and said, 'Sir, your mina
has earned five more.' "His master answered, 'You take charge of
five cities.'
|
|
25
|
- The dead are judged
- Satan and Hades are destroyed
- God makes all things New
- The New Jerusalem descends from Heaven to be with the Nations on Earth
- All power is handed back over to God
- God dwells with man on Earth
|
|
26
|
- Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father
after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must
reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to
be destroyed is death. For he "has put everything under his
feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put
under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put
everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself
will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God
may be all in all.
|
|
27
|
- Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the
first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I
saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from
God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And
I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of
God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people,
and God himself will be with them and be their God.

|
- I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and
the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the
moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb
is its lamp. The nations will
walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor
into it.
|
|
29
|
- Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as
crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle
of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the
tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every
month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

- To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of
life, which is in the paradise of God.
Rev 2:7
- He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death. Rev 2:11
- To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also
give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him
who receives it. Rev 2:17
- To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority
over the nations-- Rev 2:26
|
|
31
|
- He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot
out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before
my Father and his angels. Rev 3:5
- Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never
again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the
name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out
of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. Rev 3:12
- To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne,
just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. Rev 3:21
