CHRIST'S MILLENNIAL REIGN STARTS WITH THE
SEVENTH
TRUMPET
Rev 10:7 But in the days
when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be
accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets."
Rev 11:15-19 The seventh
angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of
our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever."
And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before
God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying:
"We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because
you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.
The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead, and for
rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence
your name, both small and great-- and for destroying those who destroy the
earth." Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his
temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning,
rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.

The Trumpets of Revelation signal the
commencement of the Judgment on the Nations culminating with the 'Day of the
Lord' and the beginning of the Millennium. The Trumpets follow the
opening of the seals which culminated with the Harvest of the Saints.
The Seventh Trumpet and the Seventh Bowel correspond to
the end of this Age and the beginning of the Millennium. This is
immediately preceded by the Day of the Lord when Christ comes with His army of
Redeemed Saints to defeat the Beast and the False Prophet and to Strike Down the
Nations - at least those who have the mark of the beast.
The Harvest of the Earth, the Wedding Feast, the Judgment
on the Nations and the Day of the Lord Occur in quick succession over a short
period of time. While it is not clear from Revelation just how long
it is between these events, the Book of Daniel (Dan 12:11-12) would suggest that
these events span no more than a few weeks. On an eternal time scale or
from the perspective of the distant past, they seem to occur instantaneously
(1Cor 15:51-2).

THE END OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION IS THE END OF
THIS AGE
Dan 7:25 He will
speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the
set times and the laws. The saints will be
handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
Daniel 9:22-27
He instructed
me and said to me, "Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.
As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given, which I have come to
tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the message
and understand the vision: "Seventy
'sevens' are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression,
to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting
righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.
"Know and understand this:
Daniel 12:1-13 "At
that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as
has not happened from the beginning of nations until then.
But at that time your people--everyone whose name is found written in the
book--will be delivered. Those
who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who
lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the
scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase
knowledge." Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two
others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.
One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters
of the river, The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of
the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I
heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, ". When
the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things
will be completed." I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked,
"My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?" He replied, "Go
your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the
time of the end. Many will be
purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be
wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will
understand. "From the time that the daily
sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set
up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is the one who waits
for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. "As for you, go your way
till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise
to receive your allotted inheritance."
CHRIST COMES AT THE END OF THE GREAT
TRIBULATION
MATT 24:3-51 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the
disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen,
and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus
answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For
many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many.
You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but
see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is
still to come. Nation will rise against
nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in
various places. All these are the beginning
of birth pains. "Then you will be handed over
to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because
of me. At that time many will turn away from
the faith and will betray and hate each other, and
many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the
increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but
he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And
this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to
all nations, and then the end will come. "So
when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes
desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel--let the reader
understand-- then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let
no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house.
Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be
in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray
that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For
then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world
until now--and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut
short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be
shortened.
At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the
Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For
false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and
miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. See,
I have told you ahead of time. "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out
in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not
believe it. For as lightning that
comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the
Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass,
there the vultures will gather. "Immediately after the distress of those
days "'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars
will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' "At
that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations
of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of
the sky, with power and great glory.
And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather
his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
"Now
learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its
leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even
so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.
I tell you the truth, this generation will
certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven
and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. "No
one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,
but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the
coming of the Son of Man. For in the days
before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in
marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and
they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all
away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two
men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women
will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
"Therefore keep
watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But
understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the
thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be
broken into. So you also must be ready,
because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
"Who then is the faithful and wise servant,
whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them
their food at the proper time? It will be
good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I
tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But
suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a
long time,' and he then begins to beat his fellow
servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant
will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware
of. He will cut him to
pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping
and gnashing of teeth.

THE ANTICHRIST IS DEFEATED WHEN CHRIST COMES
2Thes 2:7-10 For the secret power of lawlessness is already
at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is
taken out of the way. The
coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed
in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort
of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused
to love the truth and so be saved.
2Thessalonians 2:8 tells us that the Lord
will overthrow and destroy the man of lawlessness by the breath of his mouth and
the splendor of his coming. This can leave us with no doubt that Christ's
return is at the end of the great tribulation which is the beginning of his
millennial reign. People who teach post millennialism are thus in error.
We, the believers, are not in heaven and the devil is not locked up in the abyss
where he can no longer cause trouble. Thus the millennium cannot have started.
The Bible therefore foretells of the premillennial return of Jesus Christ.
The return of Christ and the Millennium are, no doubt, in the future (at the
time of writing of this document!).
THE SAINTS, DEAD AND ALIVE, ARE RAPTURED WHEN CHRIST COMES
1Thes 4:13-18
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep,
or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.
We
believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will
bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to
the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left
till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have
fallen asleep. For the Lord himself
will come down from heaven, with a loud command,
with the voice of the
archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will
rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will
be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore
encourage each other with these words.
THE SAINTS ARE HARVESTED (TRANSFIGURED, REDEEMED, RAPTURED)
AT THE LAST TRUMPET
1Cor 15:51-53 Listen, I tell you a
mystery: We will not all sleep, but we
will all be changed--in a flash, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be
changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and
the mortal with immortality.
The last trumpet here corresponds to the Trumpets of Revelation which
signal the commencement of Judgment on the Nations and the Day of the Lord where
Christ comes with his army of Holy Ones almost immediately after redeeming them
from the Earth.
